It's an open forum to share ideas and information between neighbors in the Great Valley area. Anyone is welcome but it's specifically designed to facilitate communication between the residents of Charlestown Township, East Whiteland Township, Willistown Township and Malvern Borough in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Q: How does the site work?
It's an online discussion forum which means that users of the site can post topics they wish to discuss with their Great Valley Neighbors. Other users can start their own topics or respond to existing topics. In addition, there are a number of directories that contain local information that users can contribute to, comment on or rate.
Q: Can I tell my friends who live in the Great Valley area about this site?
Yes! Please do. The more that participate, the more useful of a tool it will be for all of us. In fact, if you would like to spread the word to organizations you are a member of, we have created a flyer to help you. You can reach it at

Q: Who runs this site?
The site is owned by Great Valley Web LLC which is a company that was formed by residents in the Great Valley area specifically for this non-profit web site.
Q: Is this site free?
Yes, and it always will be.
Q: How do I send a private message to another user of this site?
To send a private message to a user of this site, you can click on their user name either in a post they have created or find their user name in the Members section. There are two options. You can send a private message which they will be alerted to the next time they login to the Great Valley Forum. Or, you can send them an email which will go to the email box they registered with this site.
Q: Why can't I post my own topics or reply to other topics in the forum?
You first have to register for an account. In the upper-right hand corner click on "Register". It only takes a minute.
Q: How do I add a picture under my name to topics I post or reply to?
Near the upper-right corner of the screen, click on My Profile. Then on the left-hand side click Modify Avatar. You can pick a picture from our collection, or upload a picture from your computer. Small pictures work best.
Q: Are any discussions prohibited on this site?
No discussions are prohibited, but please be civil! Any libelous or offensive messages posted will be removed once the offending content is brought to our attention. We're all neighbors so please be courteous.
Q: What technology is this site run with?
This site runs on a hosted server running Windows Server 2003 and uses SQL Server 2005 as its database. It's written in ASP.Net 2.0 with C#.
